Pernod Ricard have announced the re-release of Malibu Snowcoco this Christmas. For me it is still a bizarre drink with real pieces of coconut inside, giving the drink a snowy globe look and feel. I just can’t help feel that this product just makes Malibu a gimmick product rather than a serious Spirit. Malibu is all about fun I know, but has this gone too far?

Am I sounding like an old man, moaning about innovation? I don’t think so, come on Malibu let’s see some serious Spirit innovation. There is so much potential in the Rum category especially taking on Bacardi. Enough said, you can find Malibu Snowcoco in any supermarket this Christmas.
