There is no other country on the planet that has such a rich spirit history as Scotland. They have become true spirit craftsmen. Scotland known the world over for malt and blended whisky production has created hundreds of brands that are adored. Whisky can be traced back in the written word to 1495 when it appeared in the Exchequer Rolls of Scotland. Whisky has been exported to Ireland and other countries like Japan, but to be a true Scotch whisky the spirit must conform to the standards of the Scotch Whisky Order of 1990. It would be impossible to name a favourite so we won't but The Purveyor is lucky enough to stock some real gems.
