Bourbon can be made anywhere in the USA today, but it is only the county of Kentucky that can advertise Kentucky bourbon. Some counties such as Tennessee the home of Jack Daniels, has to advertise as Tenessee whiskey. Kentucky at one time had more senators than other counties and managed to out vote the rest meaning that Kentucky could be the only county to advertise Bourbon. As always in the world of spirits all spirits are not born equal but who would be brave enough to say Jack Daniels is not as a Kentucky Bourbon such as Knob Creek.
