Dragon Tattoo

Now I thought Bacardi was on the way to recovery with the launch of Oakheart Spiced Rum, and what seemed to be a focus on dark and golden aged Rums. I guess I was wrong, and the brand continues to be schizophrenic re-launching flavoured Bacardi variants. They have re-launched Bacardi Dragonberry, in a very clever way.

They have collaborated with celebrated Japanese Tattoo Master Horitaka. In a bid to make Dragonberry more masculine they have created a tattoo design called Mark of a Master, which a very lucky drinker can win.

Bacardi, I realise dark and aged Rums cannot be launched in the blink of an eye, and they need years to be crafted, but surely you should be acting like a dark
Spirit such as Bourbon, Whisky or Cognac rather than Vodka. After all Smirnoff has an army of lower abv flavours.

Clever marketing idea Bacardi, just not sure about the product, but love the dragon
fruit. It is gorgeous with ginger ale though.
