Origins: Scotland

Scotland is famous for it's whisky both malts and blends. Whisky is evocative of a great landscape and people. Known as the water of life, whisky is made from germinated barley dried over a peat fire. Each area of Scotland lays claim to a great malt or a blend of malts.

The Scots have managed to export their great discovery around the world to such an extent the Americans reinvented it as Bourbon.
