Origins: England

England is the home of Gin and London is the city of Gin, but it was invented by the Dutch around 1650. The English very quickly adopted it and took it home during the 1650ís where it began being mass produced.

Gin has always had the mystery of it being a medicine and many an army and navy has gone to war on Gin. Gin is really juniper flavoured Vodka.

Charles Dickens said Gin was a great vice in England but wretchedness and dirt were greater.
