Customer requirements
To purchase product from Premium Purveyor Ltd you must 21 years old or over. You must also have completed the site login procedure and have an active email address. We strongly recommend securely registering with the site using a password for your sole use.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any breach of security regarding your password or login details.
You may be contacted by Premium Purveyor Ltd from time to time to check your details are correct and to ensure there are no breaches of security.
Responsible Drinks Retailing
'The Purveyor ' is a responsible drinks supplier and as such recommends that it's customers drink in moderation.

The Purveyor will refuse to deliver to consumer addresses if they believe they are under age to consume alcohol, abuse alcohol or abuse themselves or others because of alcohol.
All alcohol products bought at www.thepurveyor.com are subject to UK drinking age laws. You must be 21 or over to purchase. If you are buying from another country and the local drinking laws are different from the UK, you must abide by the local drinking age laws. If these laws allow drinking under 21 you can’t purchase.
Delivery Info
UK Mainland - Next Day Delivery is £7.99
All orders must be placed before 15.30 GMT for our premium next day delivery service. This allows time for the orders to be processed. Any orders made after this time cannot be given a 24 hour delivery guarantee. This service is only available Monday to Thursday. Any next day orders placed on a Friday will not be delivered until Monday. Any next day orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday will not be delivered until Tuesday.
For weekend delivery costs and requests, please call or email our customer services at customerservices@thepurveyor.com or telephone +44 (0) 1329 245791. Orders will be sent to an address specified by you. The Purveyor operates normal business hours Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00 GMT.
UK Mainland - Standard Delivery is £5.99 within 2 working days
Standard delivery of our products is within those countries defined at the checkout. All deliveries will be made to you by our courier. We do our best to secure delivery within 2 working days of the date of your order, unless you have specified and paid for the next day or special delivery service. If you specify items with different delivery dates, we will ship them separately and you will be charged for each delivery. If you wish to change the delivery date, after you have placed your order, please give us no less than 24 hours notice, prior to delivery.

To ensure deliveries are made between 2 working days from date of order, orders must be placed before 15.00 GMT. Orders placed after 15.00 GMT may take between 3 working days to deliver.
Christmas Deliveries
Order by 3pm on Monday 21st December for guaranteed pre Christmas delivery. We will endeavour to get orders placed after this date delivered pre Christmas but due to the high volumes of deliveries around this time we cannot be held liable for any disappointments.
Receipt of Goods
Deliveries must be taken by persons aged 21 or over. Proof of age maybe required on occasions.
All customers placing an order will be sent a receipted invoice by email. If a product is ordered for delivery to countries outside The Purveyor’s delivery options and goods are charged, you will be notified by email and refunded the costs of the product.

Proof of Delivery
If you or the recipient is not in at the time of delivery, our courier will attempt to leave the delivery with a neighbour, (a signature of proof of delivery will be required and a delivery note left with the recipient). The courier will return with the goods if a signature is not provided. For specific delivery requirements, please make clear in the check-out section. N.B. Any specific delivery instructions will be left at your own risk; The Purveyor can not be held responsible for any thefts, loss or damage. We offer this service in the UK only.
Premium Purveyor ships to many countries both in and out of the EU dependent on their policy on accepting glass products. Full details of the countries we ship to and prices we charge can be found in the check out section of the site.
You are responsible to ensure alcohol deliveries are permissible in your country/state. The Purveyor cannot be held responsible should customs clearance refuse entry of your delivery and you may be liable to pay local taxes and duties upon arrival. We have no control over any additional charges and they are solely the purchaser’s responsibility. Please contact your local Customs Department, if you require further information.
VAT/Duty
All alcohol products purchased at are subject to UK taxation. All products delivered to an address within the European Union (EU), prices are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT). <http://www.thepurveyor.com/>
If alcohol products are sent to an address outside the EU, we will not charge VAT, although your order may be subject to local taxes and duties upon the moment of arrival in your country, which are levied once the package reaches your country and must be paid for in order that the product will be released by local customs.
All duties levied by local customs on arrival of alcohol products from the UK must be borne by the customer and not www.thepurveyor.com . Duty levels and policies around the world vary therefore it is your obligation to contact your local customs office to determine the rules. We do not take responsibility of non delivery if local customs have not been paid by yourself.
We endeavour to run an always in stock policy. This policy does not apply to fine dining wines, sommelier choice wines, super premium and boutique spirits. If in the rare circumstance we do not have stock we will notify you within 24 hours, if your order is unavailable. We will recommend a suitable alternative or we can inform you when the item is back in stock and we will provide you with an alternative date for delivery. After contacting you by email or telephone, we will hold your order until all your required stock is available and deliver it together, unless specified otherwise. You will not incur any further postage costs if a separate delivery is made and you will only be charged for the stock once the item(s) has been dispatched. All orders must be made by persons over 21 years of age.
If the product has been damaged during delivery you must inform Premium Purveyor Ltd within 3 working days by email or telephone. If the goods are damaged on delivery, you should refuse to accept them.
Goods damaged in transit will be collected by Premium Purveyor Ltd within 7 working days. We will re-deliver a new product within 5 working days of the damaged goods being returned to us. We will be happy to refund the cost of the product, if a new delivery is no longer required. All credits will be made within 30 days. Replacements of the damaged goods only will be given, not for the entire delivery.
We do not accept returned goods after 5 days. If the product is faulty or damaged, the purchaser will receive a full refund.
If the courier has been unable to deliver after one attempt and the recipient does not respond to the delivery card or to messages left, the order will be returned to The Purveyor after 5 days. The cost of the product will be credited to the account holder minus any delivery costs.
Quality Guarantee
We are extremely passionate about quality; 95% of our wine selection is selected from the International Wine list of 2009 as awarded at the International Wine Challenge awards. 140 of our wines and champagnes have won awards across the industry. 90% of our brands and served in high quality restaurants and bars.
If for any reason you do not like our wines or champagnes please contact the Premium Purveyor Ltd at customerservices@thepurveyor.com or telephone +44 (0) 1329 245791 stating when the wine was delivered and if the wine is corked, tainted or damaged.
Premium Purveyor Ltd will then pick up the wine from your address at no cost to you and rebate any bottles that are damaged. We will also happily refund bottles of wine that you don’t like (this doesn’t apply to Spirits, Champagnes or Sparkling) providing less than half the bottle has been consumed We will not rebate bottles that are less than half full. We will only pick up and refund those bottles in the mixed cases that you do not like.
Cancellation
You can cancel any order by emailing customerservices at; customerservices@thepurveyor.com or telephone +44 (0) 1329 245791. If the order has been processed, you should refuse delivery of the goods
If you wish to cancel your order we ask that you advise us at least 24 hours before your planned delivery date or 12 hours before next day delivery, and you will receive a full refund. Where the goods have been delivered to you, you may return them for up to 7 working days from the date of delivery in line with the Distance Selling Directive. We reserve the right to charge you to collect the goods and to charge you for any damage that may have occurred whilst the goods have been in your possession.
Any credits owed will be issued within 30 days of the cancellation.
The Purveyor complies with all conditions of The Data Protection Act 1998 and as such does not sell on your data.
With your consent we will contact you with promotional offers, and information that is relevant to your product choice. If you do not wish us to use your details in promoting our services to you please email us. We keep your data in strict confidence and keep it in a secure location.
Card Security and Fraud Prevention
Card security and fraud prevention is of paramount importantance to Premium Purveyor Ltd. We use Sagepay one of the very latest and most secure Level 1 PCI DSS compliant payment gateway providers on the market.
For additional peace of mind all purchases made on the site have CVS and Address Matching checks made on the card as well as Visa and Mastercard’s 3D secure system.
This may mean you have to pay a bit more attention to inputting your address details and remembering a password or two but you can be assured your details are safe.
Card Payments
For your own security Premium Purveyor Ltd is currently unable to take credit card payments over the phone. The Purveyor cannot be held responsible for deliveries made by fraudulent means of minors.
Payments
All Credit Card or Paypal payments are made in pounds sterling. If you do not have a Credit Card or Paypal account that operates in pounds sterling then your account will be debited based upon the currency exchange rate that the Credit Card issuer operates at the transaction moment in pounds sterling.
Prices
All prices are in pounds sterling ,and the site operates in pounds sterling. All prices quoted on the site are inclusive of VAT and customs duty. Any promotional prices are subject to availability and are available on a first come first serve basis and are subject to change. The Purveyor may change over time due to manufacturer and supplier pricing
Promotional Offers
Premium Purveyor Ltd from time to time will run promotional offers and special offers. All of these offers will be subject to availability and while stocks last and will be sold and dispatched on a fist come first served basis. All prices will include VAT and duty.
Limited Edition Stock
Premium Purveyor Ltd from time to time source Limited Edition stock from suppliers. This stock will subject to availability and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Complaints
Governing Law
Premium Purveyor Ltd and those customers using the services of Premium Purveyor Ltd shall be governed by English and Welsh Law and as such any dispute shall be decided by the courts of England and Wales.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate you using our internet services should we deem that you are not using are services correctly or for the reasons the service was designed or we believe you are under legal drinking age.
Intellectual Property
No permission is given by Premium Purveyor Ltd for any use of content, copy, images or design from it's website and as such all rights are reserved.
Recycling Policy
The Purveyor believes it is important that packaging is recyclable therefore all our packaging can be recycled, composted or is made from recycled material. We endeavour to guarantee this but at times we have to source packaging from non recycled sources.
