Wynkoop Brewing Bulls Testicles
Only in America. The Denver based Wynkoop Brewing Company have crafted a very special brew that won’t appeal to vegetarians, and is not an April fool. They have created something called A Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout, which is apparently a popular local dish containing fried bull’s testicles. It was brewed especially for the Denver Beer Festival. The mind boggles, but apparently each eight-barrel batch contains eleven kilograms of bull testicles.
The process is fascinating as the meat is sliced then roasted, and then added to the stout’s mash. I am told the resulting drink tastes of chocolate, coffee and Kahlua. Amazing what bulls testicles can taste like heah.
